Princes and Frogs

"The more I know of the world, the more I am convinced that I shall never see a man whom I can really love. I require so much!"
-Marianne Dashwood

Love is the final fight...

This...
is the sound

"Lyrically, I feel like this song is a corollary of Hello Hurricane. I was reading a book at the time, Let Justice Roll Down- it's the autobiography of John Perkins, given to me by a friend of mine. I was struck by Perkins’ honesty and humility. He describes the Jim Crow world of not so very long ago with brutal honesty. We are a haunted nation. Whether we admit it or not, the past runs through our veins. Listen to the streets, they'll tell you the same. We can cover up our racism and narrow-minded bigotry with excuses and time but the sins of the past cry out from the ground. The undercurrents from our history are always buzzing around our ears. But rising above the constant gnawing of past wrongs is the song of Love. Love is the reconciliation. The deliberate act of forgiveness. The deliberate act of moving forward unencumbered by the past. This is the sound. This is the sound." -Jon Foreman

hope you like it!

I still remember

...
I could feel your heartbeat across the grass.
We should have run.
I would go with you anywhere.
I should have kissed you by the water

You should have asked me for it
I would have been brave
You should have asked me for it
How could I say no?

And our love could have soared
Over playgrounds and rooftops
Every park bench screams your name
I kept your tie

I would let you if you asked me

I still remember
...

yo tenía...

When I was younger
I had a friend like you
who knew exactly who I was
to whom I opened my heart
who was there for me
everytime I called

And he was my best friend

But one day
The confusion took over his mind
And it was the painful beginning
of the dramatic end
He thought
I felt the same
and I did not

He was my best friend

I wasn't wise enough
to realize
every word
every action
every call
triggered his confusion

I lost him, forever

And now you are here
you're the friend I was looking for
but the thing is
you are my friend
and I'm so scared
of repeating the same story again

Let me be your friend

Better things will come
If you be my friend
I promise
it will be worth it
because we're not made for each other

a new hope

Hola!
"are you shure you want to delee this blog?, you will lose all your posts, pictures, configurations, etc" y yo de siii ajaa!
